Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in early childhood education and a commitment to creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. This role focuses on supporting lesson implementation and helping promote literacy, math skills, and overall childhood development. The Childcare Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and fellow staff to maintain a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Support a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Help maintain classroom order and promote positive behavior using effective management techniques.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with other disabilities.
- Assist in monitoring children’s progress in literacy, math, and overall development.
- Collaborate with parents to share updates on children’s progress and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s activities, progress, and behavior.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance classroom learning experiences.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
- Understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to assist in planning engaging lessons incorporating literacy, math, and hands-on activities.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
