Agency Manager

Beacon Health Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Agency Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HCBS residential home in Waukee, Iowa. The ideal candidate must be a strong leader who is organized, reliable, and committed to providing quality, person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HCBS home.
• Supervise, schedule, and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
• Ensure adequate staffing and arrange coverage for call-outs and open shifts.
• Provide direct care and work shifts when necessary if no staff are available to cover.
• Ensure individuals receive safe, respectful, and person-centered care.
• Monitor medication administration and required documentation.
• Review daily notes, incident reports, and other required records.
• Coordinate appointments, transportation, and community activities.
• Communicate with families, guardians, case managers, and healthcare providers.
• Ensure the home remains clean, safe, organized, and compliant with agency and HCBS requirements.
• Assist with hiring, orientation, training, and coaching of staff.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred.
• Experience in HCBS, group homes, developmental disabilities, healthcare, or residential services preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and willing to provide hands-on care when needed.
• Must meet all background check, driver's license, and agency training requirements.
