Faculty RN Instructor – Nursing Education

As a Faculty RN Instructor, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing through hands-on instruction, mentorship, and community engagement. You’ll educate aspiring nurses in both the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and Practical Nursing programs — combining classroom teaching, lab demonstrations, and clinical guidance to deliver high-impact learning.

What You’ll Do

• Teach didactic, laboratory, and clinical content as assigned, following course objectives and college policy.

• Develop and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, and classroom materials aligned with program and accreditation standards.

• Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, and student progress.

• Actively advise and mentor students, providing academic support and career guidance.

• Collaborate on curriculum development and accreditation efforts with program leadership.

• Contribute to institutional goals through committee service, faculty development, and student-centered initiatives.

• Participate in community engagement and promote Beacon’s mission and nursing education programs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s degree in Nursing OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with current enrollment in a Master's program (or willingness to obtain within 3 years)

• Active Indiana RN license

• Minimum two years of recent nursing experience

Preferred:

• Prior teaching experience in higher education

• Familiarity with academic technology and simulation-based learning
