About the Role:

The Patient Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients within the healthcare system. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions from the initial appointment scheduling to follow-up care, ensuring that all patient needs are met efficiently and compassionately. The Patient Coordinator will serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and addressing any concerns that may arise. By maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating with various departments, the Patient Coordinator helps to streamline operations and enhance patient satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or other languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider time and resources.
  • Assist patients with registration and intake processes, including collecting necessary documentation and insurance information.
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-pays
  • Act as a point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to their care.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely communication of patient needs and follow-up care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
