Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional, respectful, and welcoming manner.
- Escort patients to appropriate rooms and assist with patient flow.
- Obtain and document basic vital signs, including:
- Blood pressure
- Oxygen saturation
- Pulse
- Other routine vitals as directed
- Prepare patient rooms before and after visits.
- Ensure rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Open medication packaging for patients when needed so the patient may self-administer medication, in accordance with Beacon Behavioral Health policies and clinical direction.
- Communicate patient needs, concerns, or changes to appropriate clinical staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy standards at all times.
- Follow infection control, safety, and office procedures.
- Assist with light office or clinical support duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a medical office, behavioral health office, patient care, CNA, medical assistant, or similar role preferred.
- Ability to take and record basic vital signs.
- Comfortable working with behavioral health patients in a calm and respectful manner.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the required Friday and Saturday schedule.
- Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Takes ownership and demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and ability to think and find answers
- Comfortable communicating with doctors and keeping them on task
- Able to provide feedback to superiors comfortably and professionally
- Displays a "patient first" mentality
