JOB DESCRIPTION

Millwright/Maintenance Worker

Shift: Day Shift

Responsibilities:

· Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.

· Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair and maintenance.

· Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisor of repair needs.

· Dismantle and reassemble machines and remove parts for repair, using appropriate tools.

· Install, replace or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.

· Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, parts and equipment.

· Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment and other supplies as needed.

· Record production, repair and machine maintenance information.

· Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.

· Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines.

· Clean machines and machine parts, using solvents, and various equipment.

· Sharpen blades or replace defective or worn blades or bands using tools.

· Lubricate or clean machines using various tools.

· Troubleshoot & repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems.

· Performs preventative and routine maintenance.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience required.

· Be able to lift 50-100 pounds.

· Follow all operational safety standards.

· Communicate with coworkers by using signals to direct movement.

· Works well in a team environment.

· Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

· Works with others to identify, eliminate, reduce or control safety hazards.

· Exhibits knowledge of use of various hand tools, welding and cutting tools.

· Exhibits knowledge of welding fabricating skills.

· Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety books as required.

Experience in a wood manufacturing facility, crucial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
