House Cleaner

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented House Cleaner to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall tidiness of short term vacation rental properties to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for clients. Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to maintain a pristine environment.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure health standards are met or exceeded.
• Handle laundry tasks such as changing bed linens and towels.
• Clean floors thoroughly using appropriate floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing when necessary.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or porch cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance when required.
• Use manual handling skills for heavy lifting of furniture or large items safely during deep cleaning or moving tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning preferences and address any special requests or concerns.
• Maintain all cleaning equipment in excellent condition, ensuring proper use and regular upkeep for optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work to prevent accidents or injuries during routine tasks.
• Manage time efficiently to complete scheduled cleaning tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential cleaning, housekeeping management, or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with the use of various cleaning detergents and equipment used in both residential and commercial settings.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs and expectations.
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Experience working outdoors or in varied environments is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday.
• Previous hotel or custodial experience can be advantageous but is not required.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
