Job Title: Paraprofessional - Special Education 1:1 Job Family: Classified Department: Bea Underwood Elementary FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay Range: Paraprofessional Salary Schedule: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour Reports to: Building Principal Job ID#: 1480 Job Description: •This position requires a solid understanding and ability to demonstrate reading, writing, and math skills •The ability to take advice regarding ways of helping students meet his/her IEP goals is essential to this position. •This position requires a caring, focused, and responsible disposition while working closely with a small number of Severe Needs students. •Day-to-day duties will include: small-group teaching, 1-on-1 pull-out and in-class support as it pertains to specific student needs. •Work with teachers to appropriately modify assignments as needed. Assisting students with testing accommodations during classroom, district, state, and national assessments. •This position also includes some school duties such as playground or lunchroom duty.
