Job Overview

The Senior Communications and Marketing Executive provides strategic leadership and oversight of Be Strong Internationals (BSI) marketing, communications, and brand strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this positionis responsible forshaping and executing the organizations public image, message consistency, and visibility across local, national, and digital platforms. The Executive leads the development and implementation of integrated marketing, communications, fundraising, and social enterprise strategies that strengthen Be Strongs impact and align with its strategic plan. This role requires a highly creative, data-driven, and collaborative leader who can balance big-picture vision with operational execution, managing a team and external partners to ensure excellence in storytelling, brand positioning, and stakeholder engagement.


Additional Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement Be Strongs annual communications and marketing plan with measurable goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to craft fundraising campaigns, appeals, donor messaging and donor engagement strategies.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of multimedia content including videos, newsletters, social media, and press materials.
  • Direct crisis communications and serve as advisor to the CEO and executive team on public positioning and messaging.
  • Ensure alignment of Be Strongs brand with all internal programs, events, and public campaigns.
  • Oversee the agencys digital ecosystem including websites, CRM tools, SEO, AI, and analytics dashboards.
  • Lead vendor and partner relationships related to advertising, public relations, and creative production.
  • Represent Be Strong International at conferences, panels, and community engagements to expand public presence and partnerships.
  • Supportthedevelopmentanddeliveryofinternalandexternalmarketing campaigns.
  • Manage brand voice and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Manage relationships withmedia agencies, PR firms andkey stakeholders both internal and external to maximize brand consistency.
  • Organize PR events and serve as the companys spokesperson.
  • Collaborate with the COO, Development, and Program teams to ensure communications strategies support growth and impact goals.
  • Manage Social Enterprise Manager andsupport withmarketing product and sales strategies.
  • Address inquiries from the media and other parties.
  • Manage departmental budget, adhere to BSI financial policiesandensure thatall marketing and communications initiatives are cost-effective andhigh-impact.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Identifyopportunities fornew marketingchannels and partnerships.
  • Stay updated with the latest marketing technologies and trends.
  • Monitorand evaluate communication metricsandcompare withindustry standards, providing quarterlyhigh level media activityreports to the CEO and board on visibility, engagement, and outcomes.
  • Promote Be Strongs mission through storytelling that celebrates connection, growth, belonging, and community impact.
  • Collaborate withDevelopment to ensure successful fundraisingand corporateevents reflect brand messaging and guidelines.
  • Maintainand update company event calendar.
  • Maintainconfidentiality and represent Be Strong International with integrity and professionalism in all communications.

Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • Masters degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related fieldrequired.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations with at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated brand and communications strategies.
  • Strong background in fundraising communications and marketing for social enterprise initiatives.
  • Proficiencyin digital marketing, analytics, and CRM tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of Miami-Dade and Broward County communities and diverse populations preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred.
  • Ability to commute toadditionalBSI site locations across Miami-Dade and Broward County.

Physical Demands

This position is regularlyrequired to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear. The position requires extensive computer use, so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen.
