Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, and spray foam according to blueprint specifications and project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scaffolding safely to perform construction tasks on residential and commercial buildings
- Follow detailed blueprints and technical drawings to accurately interpret project plans and specifications
- Conduct building envelope improvements including caulking, weatherproofing, and sealing to enhance energy efficiency
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, masonry, roofing, plastering, stucco application, and metal stud framing as needed for weatherization projects
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to ladder use, power tool operation, fall protection, and site safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain work processes and ensure customer satisfaction during project completion
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with knowledge of building insulation installation and general carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret construction specifications accurately
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or mechanical components is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimating project needs
- Experience with framing, roofing, masonry, plastering or stucco is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence including power tool safety and climbing procedures
- Construction site experience with the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining efficiency
