What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position at Be Heard Speech Therapy?
Location:
Long Beach, CA, in office
Schedule:
Looking for an SLP to do a combination of treatment and evaluations. 5 admin hours provided each week for completion of documentation.
In-clinic hours available:
-Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm
-Saturdays 8am-3pm
Candidate can choose to work any partial days/times within the above hours, minimum of 25 hours per week.
Compensation:
$65-70/hr, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy to clients in-clinic
- Conduct speech and language evaluations in-clinic and remotely
- Create and implement documented treatment plans
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over
- Maintain all documentation required by the clinic and ASHA’s code of ethics including, but not limited to, daily notes and progress reports
- Collaborate with staff and family to establish appropriate plans for students
- Provide supervision and manage caseload of SLPA(s)
Requirements:
- Possession of valid registration as a Speech/Language Pathologist with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board
- One year experience working with individuals with speech and language disabilities in a structured environment, preferably in the clinic setting
