Culinary Team Member – Lola's Taco Bar

Our menu celebrates bold flavors and fresh ingredients, from authentic al pastor carved from a trompo to family-style rotisserie chicken dinners, colorful vegan and vegetarian dishes, build-your-own bowls and burritos, and margaritas made with fresh-squeezed lime juice.
You'll be joining a culinary team with Michelin-star experience, bringing elevated techniques into an approachable, community-focused kitchen. What You'll Do:
Station Setup & Readiness
- Arrive on time and ensure your station is properly set up with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all opening checklists to ensure food safety and readiness for service.
- Prepare ingredients according to prep sheets and par levels.
Cooking & Food Execution
- Execute food orders accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner during service.
- Follow all recipes and plating standards to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain awareness of ticket times and communicate effectively with the team during busy service periods.
Prep & Stocking
- Assist with basic prep tasks as needed (cutting produce, portioning items, making sauces, etc.)
- Restock your station throughout service to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Communicate low stock or missing items to the supervisor or manager on duty.
Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout your shift.
- Follow all health department guidelines and food safety standards.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, smallwares, utensils, and equipment as needed during slower periods or at the end of your shift.
Closing Duties (where applicable)
- Break down your station at the end of service, properly labeling, dating, and storing leftover items.
- Follow closing checklist to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness for the next shift.
- Take out trash, clean equipment, and ensure all surfaces are sanitized.
Requirements

- Ability to arrive on time and reliably follow a set schedule.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
- Capacity to follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and plating standards accurately.
- Willingness to perform both cooking and prep tasks (cutting, portioning, stocking, cleaning, etc.).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills during busy service times.
- Comfortable using basic kitchen tools and equipment safely.
- Flexibility to assist with opening, service, and closing responsibilities as assigned.
- Culinary or restaurant experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
