Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products in accordance with approved procedures and sampling plans
- Utilize measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators) to verify conformance to specifications
- Accurately document inspection and test results in applicable quality systems and records
- Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials; initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required
- Execute basic testing activities in accordance with established work instructions and methods
- Support investigations (e.g., OOS/OOT) and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain laboratory/work area organization and ensure proper handling of equipment and samples
- Comply with safety regulations, company policies, and quality systems (e.g., GMP, GLP, ISO)
- Maintain required training, certifications, and ensure audit readiness (FDA, internal, and corporate audits)
- Support new product introductions, process improvements, and capacity expansion initiatives
- Contribute to EH&S objectives and overall plant safety performance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment, preferably within a medical device or other regulated industry
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to use inspection and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and data entry systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
