Position Overview
This position is responsible for partnership taxes, budget preparation and special projects as needed, including those projects that do not fall into the normal scope of the tax department.
Responsibilities
- Prepares year-end taxes for federal, international, state and local jurisdictions.
- Prepares and distributes Partner tax packages.
- Resolves tax issues and coordinates tax audits.
- Prepares business tax returns and quarterly filings.
- Performs tax research for issues regarding the Firm or its Partners.
- Prepares budget and reviews on specific areas.
- Performs special projects as requested.
- Calculates and prepares quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Maintains the Partner’s tax information database.
- Performs various analyses including lease analysis and present value calculations.
- Prepares quarterly Charitable Contributions report.

- Demonstrates intermediate skills in Excel, Access and Word.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be well organized, accurate and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal professionally with both internal and external clients on all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- This position is in a critical needs area, especially during tax season, and must be able to arrive early and stay late when requested and on short notice as well as working weekends.
- Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled.
Education/Experience/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum five years previous experience with Partnership taxes
