It starts with our people, which is why we need a Senior Finance Analyst to join our vibrant and collaborative team. This role will provide the opportunity to be a key advisor and first point of contact for senior stakeholders, delivering insights that assist with strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with our Commercial Finance Manager and Global Director, contributing meaningfully to our annual business planning cycle, whilst getting the opportunity to operate independently and drive initiatives beyond traditional finance.
Responsibilities
Finance Business Partnering
- Serving as the primary financial link between the L&I Leadership, the Finance department and wider business support teams. Proactively working with stakeholders to provide financial expertise and support.
- Enabling business areas to achieve their objectives, make decisions and plan appropriately through the effective understanding and use of financial analysis and management information.
- Work collaboratively with the work to cash teams to stay informed of departmental issues, assist in resolving them when necessary and clearly articulate any financial or business risks arising from significant working capital concerns.
- Offering cover and support to the Real Estate and Corporate Departments when required.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the execution of regular forecasting and budgeting activities for fee earning teams globally, ensuring high levels of consistency and quality across all areas.
- Take ownership of recording and modelling any necessary financial objectives, corrective actions and targets for departmental budgets and forecasts, while ensuring appropriate support mechanisms are in place to enable successful delivery.
- With assistance from the Commercial Manager, present, discuss and challenge budgets with senior stakeholders to ensure robust and realistic planning. Proactively monitor financial risks and opportunities that may affect future performance.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and deliver high quality management information with insightful, actionable analysis, allowing the business to use this data to help support departmental & practice group objectives.
- Design and implement streamlined templates for the Commercial Finance team and for firmwide use, enabling non-finance teams to engage with financial information through user friendly models.
- Provide model upkeep and support, ensuring consistency, accuracy and business relevance across all financial submissions.
- Providing high quality, visually engaging ad hoc presentations and analysis to the Commercial Manager and Director as required, delivering clear financial insights and contributing to strategic project work
Education/Experience/Certifications
- Ability to utilize Excel and MI systems to an advanced level.
- Intellectual credibility and confidence to communicate effectively with partners, fee earners and business services.
- Minimum 3-5 years financial analysis experience
- Preferred but not required:
- • Legal/professional services experience
- • Professional qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, etc.)

Pursuant to the Colorado and Washington state pay transparency laws, BCLP is posting a reasonable estimate of a compensation range for this position. At the time of posting, the estimated Colorado range is $95,000 to $115,000 and the estimated Washington range is $105,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to the level of relevant experience, skill sets, training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, market data, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The range is based on a full-time work schedule. Additional compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
