It starts with our people, which is why we need a Senior Analyst, Pricing to join our team - someone who brings analytical strength, curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for supporting value-driven pricing. In this role, you will work closely with, Partners, Business Development, and Finance teams to support the development of pricing proposals, fee arrangements, and profitability analysis. You will be involved in a broad range of work, from supporting client RFP responses and pricing models to contributing to initiatives that improve how we deliver and price legal services.

You’ll be responsible for:


1. Pricing Support and Analysis

• Provide expert guidance and constructive challenge on pricing options for client matters including analysis of rates, discounts, fee structures, staffing assumptions, profitability and value considerations.

• Lead the pricing analysis for client RFPs and proposals, working closely with Partners, Business Development and Finance teams to develop pricing strategies, commercial recommendations, pricing schedules and supporting narratives.

• Support fee discussions and client pricing negotiations by developing pricing options, providing commercial recommendations and presenting analysis to Partners and other stakeholders.


2. Process Efficiency and AI-Enabled Delivery

• Provide pricing insights to support the design of efficient service delivery models, including where legal technology, AI tools or alternative resourcing models may change the way work is delivered.

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability and client value through smarter resourcing, workflow optimisation, automation and appropriate use of AI-enabled tools, recommending practical solutions to stakeholders.

• Use AI tools responsibly to support day-to-day pricing activity, including research, analysis, drafting, summarising information and improving the efficiency of repeatable processes.

• Develop an understanding of how AI and technology may affect matter delivery, including the impact on effort, leverage, cost, pricing assumptions and the value delivered to clients.


3. Client and Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including in-house counsel and procurement teams.

• Manage day-to-day pricing interactions with internal stakeholders, support client pricing discussions, and ensure agreed pricing terms are accurately reflected in internal systems. Take ownership of discrete workstreams, analyses and follow-up actions as appropriate.


4. Profitability and Value Analysis

• Prepare and interpret pricing and profitability analysis, including matter economics, rate performance, leverage, discounts, alternative fee arrangements and margin impact.

• Use the firm's profitability dashboards and other data sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing clear commercial recommendations to support decision-making and improve financial outcomes.

• Support the assessment of value-based pricing opportunities, including how efficiency gains, AI-enabled delivery and improved matter management may be reflected in pricing proposals.


5. Financial Awareness and Knowledge sharing

• Support the development of financial training materials and guidance to enhance understanding of pricing, profitability and commercial principles across the firm.

• Help promote financial awareness within legal and business services teams by sharing analysis, insights and practical guidance, and supporting the delivery of training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.


6. Team Development

• Support Pricing Managers in developing pricing tools, templates, best practices and process improvements.

• Share analytical techniques, insights and practical learnings with colleagues across the Pricing, Finance and Accounting functions, providing informal coaching and support to junior team members where appropriate.



Skills and experience required:


• Relevant experience in pricing, financial analysis, commercial analysis or a related analytical role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment, with demonstrable experience managing complex analyses and stakeholder interactions.

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to interpret data clearly and accurately.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain financial and commercial information clearly and confidently to both finance and non-finance audiences.

• Client-focused, with strong commercial awareness and an interest in legal service delivery, commercial decision-making and how pricing can support both client value and firm profitability.

• Experience with legal pricing tools, profitability dashboards, data visualisation tools or AI-enabled productivity tools is advantageous.

• Curious and confident in using AI tools responsibly to support analysis, drafting, research and process efficiency.

• Able to develop an understanding of how AI, automation and legal technology may affect pricing assumptions, delivery models, matter economics and the value delivered to clients.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality analysis and recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
