It starts with our people, which is why we need a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our technology team for the successful delivery and enhancement of the Firm’s applications and project efforts. The Quality Assurance Analyst will contribute directly to the reliability, integration, and overall performance of key application systems by developing and maintaining effective test coverage, partnering with internal teams, and supporting high-quality releases. This role offers the opportunity to build deep knowledge of the Firm’s technology landscape, expand collaboration across multiple teams, and strengthen expertise in quality assurance practices, testing strategy, and application lifecycle support. For the right candidate, this position provides increased technical breadth, and the ability to make a visible impact on critical business systems and user experience.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Collaborates with colleagues, technology teams and end users to determine proper test requirements and test environments.
- Develops manual requirements-based test scripts
- Implements and coordinates manual testing to verify compatibility and reliability before applications are released to production
- Documents and tests implementations and reports defects, anomalies and functionality changes encountered during testing
- Troubleshoots basic errors found in testing to assist in engineering resolutions
- Understands the Firm's operating environment and related application functionality
- Assists in maintaining a repository of all testing related documents
- Provides QA support on projects to implement new and existing application technologies ensuring all projects assigned are provided a QA workflow as required
- Conducts research on applications as required for testing scenarios and in some cases to confirm compatibility in our environment
- Maintains documentation on all tasks assigned
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills and experience required
- 4 years of technical experience in an IT role
- Must have excellent knowledge of document management systems
- Ability to set and manage expectations
- Ability to deal professionally and communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external clients on all levels
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of testing of software testing procedure and documentation skills
- Willingness to attend training classes to maintain and increase technical skillsets
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment and with minimal supervision
- Ability to set and quickly adjust priorities
- Ability to present technological workflows to non-technical personnel
- Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask with ease is essential to the success of this position
- Comfortable maintaining test systems as needed for the teams testing efforts
- Innovative, analytical approach to solving complex test problems and performing troubleshooting
- Collaborates with others in testing
- Automated testing experience would be an asset
- Experience in Management Studio, JIRA, ServiceNow and application testing workflow tools a plus
