Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Berkeley or Sacramento, CA. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate and competitive bids. Daily tasks include reviewing project blueprints, sourcing materials, identifying labor and equipment needs, and communicating with potential clients and subcontractors to secure and finalize project bids.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for preparing accurate cost estimates
- Needs 5 years of construction experience/Estimating Experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and specifications
- Experience with estimating software and tools used in construction bidding
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Knowledge of market rates for materials, labor, and equipment in the construction industry
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for handling multiple projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in concrete or construction estimating is highly desirable
