About the Role

A law firm seeks a Trademark, Copyright & Media Attorney to join its intellectual property practice in Austin. This hybrid position involves counseling clients on trademark, copyright, advertising, marketing, and commercial transaction matters while supporting brand protection and business objectives. The attorney will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on intellectual property rights, conduct trademark and copyright clearance analyses, and collaborate with legal and business teams on strategic initiatives. The role offers broad exposure to intellectual property counseling and transactional work across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and intellectual property agreements.
• Advise clients on trademark, copyright, advertising, and marketing law matters.
• Conduct trademark and copyright clearance analyses.
• Counsel clients on intellectual property protection and enforcement strategies.
• Review advertising and marketing materials for legal compliance.
• Collaborate with legal, marketing, and business teams on commercial transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Support brand licensing, merchandising, and intellectual property portfolio matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience handling trademark, copyright, advertising, or related intellectual property matters.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced legal practice.
• Experience working effectively with legal, business, and marketing stakeholders.
