Duties

• Negotiate and structure complex commercial real estate transactions.

• Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets.

• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements.

• Prepare and negotiate commercial leasing agreements.

• Advise clients on real estate development projects.

• Assist with construction-related legal matters.

• Represent lenders and borrowers in real estate financing transactions.

• Conduct legal due diligence for commercial real estate matters.

• Review title, survey, zoning, and land use documents.

• Coordinate transaction closings and post-closing matters.

• Provide practical legal advice directly to sophisticated clients.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.

• Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, construction, and financing matters.

• Admission to practice law in Washington, DC.

• Previous experience with a large law firm is preferred.

• Ability to independently manage complex legal matters.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
