Pay scale: $310000- $435000

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level to senior intellectual property litigation associate to join its practice group in Washington, DC. The role involves representing clients in patent disputes involving technologies such as electronic devices, semiconductors, integrated circuits, and mechanical devices.

Duties

• Analyze patents and prepare invalidity and infringement contentions.
• Develop case strategy and work with technical experts.
• Draft briefs and other substantive filings, manage discovery, and prepare witnesses.
• Take and defend depositions and contribute to hearings and trial preparation.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with colleagues across the firm.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Approximately four or more years of patent litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with district court patent litigation; PTAB or ITC experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage substantial responsibilities on complex matters and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction.

Education

• Degree in computer science or electrical engineering.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Ability to manage complex matters and work effectively as part of a team.
