Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney to join their Technology Companies Group in Washington. This role supports the firm's innovation efforts to enhance legal service delivery through people, process, and technology. The position involves collaboration across offices and departments, reporting to the Managing Director of Practice Innovation.

Duties

• Lead projects to streamline legal service delivery.
• Integrate technology, including generative AI, into legal practice.
• Design AI-powered workflow solutions.
• Advance the TCG deal data dashboard.
• Improve practice content utilization.
• Educate legal professionals on client-facing solutions.
• Develop case studies for marketing and business development.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a large law firm.
• Experience with private offerings, venture capital, and emerging company transactions.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex ideas.
• Problem-solving skills with limited standardization.
• Familiarity with legal technology and AI.
• Experience in designing AI-powered workflows.
• Understanding of knowledge management and project management.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
