Job Overview

A law firm seeks an employment associate with two to four years of experience to join its Seattle, WA office. This position offers an opportunity to develop a comprehensive employment law practice while working closely with clients to address workplace challenges and make informed business decisions.

Duties

• Counsel clients on day-to-day employee relations and compliance matters.
• Draft workplace policies and employee handbooks.
• Assist clients with disability accommodations and protected leave issues.
• Manage transactional aspects of employment law, including drafting and negotiating employment contracts.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on employment counseling, litigation, and workplace investigations.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of relevant legal experience.
• Demonstrated interest in employment law, particularly in advice and counseling.
• Strong judgment and interest in building long-term client relationships.
• Outstanding academic achievement and strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior work experience in a related field is preferred for candidates in their first few years of practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
