A highly respected law firm is seeking a Complex Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join its Washington, DC office. This Silicon Valley firm offers a full-service practice which covers a number of areas, including: intellectual property, corporate, and labor & employment. The firm's intellectual property practice is both rapidly expanding and exceptionally solid; the firm's intellectual property attorneys have extensive experience in state, federal, and international litigation, as well as licensing, litigation avoidance and other matters across the complete spectrum of intellectual property issues. The atmosphere is collegial, but slightly more conservative than most Bay Area firms. Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.

Duties

• Litigate complex disputes from case filing through trial.

• Handle sophisticated commercial, trade secret, financial, energy, and product liability litigation matters.

• Conduct depositions and manage witness preparation activities.

• Participate in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.

• Conduct advanced legal research and strategic case analysis.

• Work directly with clients regarding litigation strategy and case developments.

• Collaborate with litigation teams on complex dispute resolution strategies.

• Manage litigation deadlines and case responsibilities efficiently.

• Support trial preparation and high-stakes advocacy efforts.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of complex litigation experience.

• Strong academic credentials required.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.
