A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing Labor & Employment practice in Newport Beach, California. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who are passionate about employment law and are seeking hands-on litigation experience involving single-plaintiff employment disputes, wage and hour claims, class actions, and workplace-related legal matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced litigators while managing significant responsibilities across all phases of litigation. Attorneys will gain valuable exposure to complex employment disputes, strategic case development, motion practice, and trial preparation while working directly with clients and firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Handle a broad range of labor and employment litigation matters.
• Represent clients in single-plaintiff employment disputes and wage and hour litigation.
• Assist with wage and hour class action matters and representative actions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and litigation-related filings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
• Manage discovery, document review, and case development strategies.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in witness preparation.
• Assist with mediation preparation, settlement negotiations, and litigation strategy.
• Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
• Work directly with clients regarding legal strategy, case developments, and risk management considerations.
• Collaborate with partners while maintaining the ability to independently manage assigned matters.

Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience.
• Employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with California employment laws and regulations.
• Experience involving FEHA claims, agency complaints, and workplace investigations preferred.
• Understanding of wage and hour litigation and class action procedures.
• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple matters and deadlines.
