Job Overview
A prestigious, nationally regarded Am Law firm is seeking a highly skilled Appellate Litigation Associate for its Litigation and Trial Practice Group in San Francisco. Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with trial teams to identify, frame, and preserve key appellate issues.
• Draft petitions for certiorari and prepare high-level merits and amicus briefs.
• Argue cases before appellate courts, including potential appearances before the U.S. Supreme Court.
• Handle complex dispositive motions, trial-court briefing, and high-level litigation strategy.
• Conduct rigorous legal research to support appellate positions and trial court motions.

Qualifications
• Completion of an appellate clerkship (strongly preferred and highly valued).
• Exceptional analytical, research, and persuasive writing skills.
• Prior appellate litigation experience in private practice or government is preferred.
• Admission to the state bar.
