Job Description
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in establishing SRE practices, defining CUJs, SLIs, and SLOs, and building reliability tooling and a proven ability to launch SRE capabilities from the ground up while partnering with product and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain customer user journeys (CUJs), service level indicators (SLIs), and service level objectives (SLOs).
- Establish error budgets and drive blameless postmortems with actionable remediation plans.
- Design and run incident response role-playing scenarios and readiness drills.
- Conduct Non-Abstract Large System Design (NALSD) to guide resilient architectures.
- Build automation and tooling; write production-quality code in at least one language.
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to improve reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Communicate reliability posture and tradeoffs to business stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on SRE experience establishing SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and blameless postmortems.
- Ability to perform NALSD and advocate for resilient system design.
- Proficiency in coding with at least one language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or similar).
- Experience in development or DevOps environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present reliability narratives to business audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience standing up a new SRE practice and culture.
- Background in Agile delivery as a developer.
