Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Associate – Quality Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations by ensuring product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role operates under moderate supervision while independently handling moderately complex assignments and collaborating with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive quality initiatives across the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and customers to ensure hardware meets all specifications and quality standards
- Review, analyze, and communicate nonconformance and deviations across multiple levels of the organization
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer quality requirements to ensure compliance
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities by providing technical justifications for nonconforming products
- Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming materials
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and reduce defects
- Ensure adherence to aerospace manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, suppliers, and quality teams
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective/preventive actions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, welding, NDT, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience handling nonconformance, deviation, and MRB processes
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a cross-functional product development environment
- Exposure to customer and supplier quality interactions in manufacturing
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quality engineering or aerospace manufacturing
Salary : $45 - $49
