Role: Oracle Database Administrator

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong Oracle GoldenGate expertise to support mission-critical database and data replication platforms across enterprise environments. The role is responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, compliance, automation, and disaster recovery capabilities supporting critical business applications.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Oracle Database administration, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, Exadata, and Oracle GoldenGate replication technologies. This individual will play a key role in maintaining highly available database platforms, troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing application and query performance, and driving modernization and automation initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Administer and support Oracle Database environments (19c, 23ai, and future releases) across production, non-production, Exadata, and cloud platforms.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
- Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager environments.
- Manage and execute database refreshes, cloning, Data Pump exports/imports, and maintenance activities.
- Design, implement, configure, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.
- Administer GoldenGate Classic and Microservices Architecture (MA) deployments.
- Perform GoldenGate upgrades, patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot replication latency, extract/replicat failures, trail file issues, and data consistency problems.
- Support enterprise data movement, migration, and synchronization initiatives utilizing GoldenGate technologies.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through SQL tuning, AWR/ASH analysis, execution plan reviews, and workload analysis.
- Identify and resolve database bottlenecks impacting application performance.
- Support high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and recovery testing initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for database, Exadata, and replication-related incidents.
- Implement database security best practices including user provisioning, role management, auditing, encryption, and secure credential management.
- Support CyberArk and enterprise credential vaulting solutions for privileged account management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance standards.
- Support vulnerability remediation, database hardening, and audit activities.
- Develop automation solutions using Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
- Improve operational efficiency through monitoring, self-healing capabilities, and process automation.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, standards, procedures, and governance controls.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and production incident management processes.
- 7 years of Oracle Database Administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments.

- Strong scripting skills using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with CyberArk and enterprise credential management solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience supporting large-scale financial services or mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of enterprise observability, monitoring, and automation platforms.
- Experience supporting database migrations, cloud adoption, and modernization programs.
- Oracle Certifications such as:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- Oracle Certified Expert (OCE)
- Experience supporting global production environments with 24x7 operational requirements.
- Support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) database services and migration projects.
- Participate in database modernization, cloud transformation, and platform optimization initiatives.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, and engineering teams to deliver reliable database services.
