Job Description

We are seeking an Engineer II, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating DSPM platforms at scale and a proven ability to implement and optimize data discovery, classification, and policy enforcement across on-prem and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and engineer DSPM platforms to support enterprise data security controls across on-prem and cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).


• Onboard data sources and maintain integrations with IGDC/1touch for on-premises and Palo Alto Cortex for cloud platforms.


• Configure platforms for effective data discovery, classification, and policy enforcement, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.


• Develop and maintain API integrations, scripting, and automation workflows in Python and related tools.


• Design and support microservices for data transformation between DSPM tools and enterprise data warehouses.


• Monitor system health, triage and resolve incidents, and drive continuous improvements in performance and coverage.


• Collaborate with infrastructure, security operations, data, and vendor teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize configurations.


• Contribute to runbooks, documentation, reporting, and operational metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Core requirement: proven experience operating a DSPM platform at scale.


• Hands-on with DSPM platforms such as OneTouch/1touch or BigID. Experience with Microsoft Purview considered but not equivalent.


• Experience with Palo Alto Cortex (previously known as "Digg") for cloud data security operations.


• 5 years in cybersecurity, data security, or data engineering with focus on data discovery, classification, or DSPM.


• Strong knowledge of modern data architectures including data lakes, warehouses, and distributed systems.


• Experience across structured and unstructured data ecosystems.


• Understanding of data classification methodologies and regulatory frameworks such as PCI and PII requirements.


• Enterprise-scale integrations with data catalogs, ITAM/CMDB, and SIEM/SOAR or security analytics platforms.


• APIs and integration patterns including REST and event-driven architectures.


• Programming and scripting with Python for automation and tooling.


• Cloud proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including hybrid configurations with on-prem environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience building microservices for data transformation and integration with enterprise data warehouses.


• Automation of DSPM workflows, policy-as-code, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
