What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Lab Scientist position at BCForward?
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical laboratory testing with a focus on histology and automated IHC.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including the Ventana Ultra Platform.
- Process and analyze FFPE samples in accordance with laboratory protocols and quality standards.
- Support clinical and medical research studies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, regulatory, and documentation requirements.
- Troubleshoot assay and instrument issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (BA/BS).
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience in histology and automated IHC; Ventana Ultra Platform experience preferred.
- Experience working with FFPE (Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded) samples.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities with demonstrated adaptability.
Preferred Skills:
- Histotechnologist certification (HT or HTL).
- Experience in clinical trials and familiarity with industry best practices.
