What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Operations Supervisor position at BCB COMMUNITY BANK?
The Retail Operations Supervisor oversees daily departmental operations, supervises the Retail Operations staff, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures within all retail network.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visit audits (scheduled and unscheduled), prepare reports, and follow up on remediation plans.
- Perform routine operational audits/tests and verify logs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Review cash handling, dual control procedures, regulatory documentation, and transaction accuracy.
- Serve as the first point of contact for branch staff, providing guidance on operations, systems, and procedures while exercising independent judgement.
- Recommend procedural updates and collaborate with IT and compliance teams to improve workflows and system functionality.
- Support daily operations including transactions, onboarding, reporting, system implementations, internal communications, and KPI monitoring.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma/GED is required.
- Retail banking experience required.
- People management/supervision strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: including professional and clear verbal communication and writing skills.
- Advanced planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementation skills with little or no supervision
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Moderate sound from normal office setting.
- Occasional lifting and transport up to 20 pounds
- Ability to sit and stand extended lengths of time.
- Ability to travel independently to branches, off-site training, and/or meetings as required
Schedule
- Flexible to service clients during banking hours.
