What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Operations Specialist position at BCB COMMUNITY BANK?
The Retail Operations Specialist support branches by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and by acting as a liaison between branch staff and other operational departments to improve efficiency and uphold operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operational audits/tests and verify logs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Review cash handling, dual control procedures, regulatory documentation, and transaction accuracy.
- Prepare site visit audit reports and maintain accurate records of audits, issues, and resolutions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for branch staff, resolving operational and system-related concerns or escalating when needed.
- Analyze new account documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and CIP requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and compliance teams, support system implementations, and assist with regulatory reporting and internal control documentation.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Retail Banking experience required.
- Strong system knowledge of bank’s core and ancillary systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: including professional and clear verbal communication and writing skills.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Moderate sound from normal office setting
- Occasional lifting and transport up to 20 pounds
- Ability to sit and stand extended lengths of time
- Ability to travel independently to branches, off-site training, and/or meetings as required
Schedule
- Flexible to service clients during banking hours.
