Job Description

We are seeking a SAP Basis Administrator to join our dynamic SAP Technology Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP Basis across ABAP and Java stacks, SAP HANA administration, and enterprise monitoring and a proven ability to ensure 24x7 stability, availability, and performance of critical SAP financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure system availability and proactively monitor all SAP applications across the landscape.
• Perform daily health checks, production monitoring, and reporting.
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch job failures and performance issues.
• Maintain and patch SAP Java applications and resolve technical issues.
• Provide development and maintenance support for SAP ECC, BW/BI, BPC, SLT, PO/PI, CE, GRC, Enterprise Portals, and Solution Manager.
• Collaborate with functional and infrastructure teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Deliver error-free Basis support services and manage incidents and problems effectively.
• Handle critical production issues, including triage calls and root cause analysis.
• Manage transport processes and CHARM for change deployments.
• Conduct weekly EWA analysis and reporting.
• Review and apply SAP high-risk vulnerability notes proactively.
• Support annual disaster recovery exercises for SAP systems.
• Capture and analyze key system monitoring metrics.
• Prepare systems for scheduled maintenance and maintain detailed documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on SAP Basis expertise across ABAP and Java stacks with SAP HANA database administration.
• Proficiency with SAP ECC, BI/BW, BPC, SLT, PO/PI, CE, GRC, Enterprise Portals, and Solution Manager 7.2.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Solution Manager, Wily, and enterprise tools like SiteScope.
• Strong troubleshooting in transports, memory dumps, performance, and workload analysis.
• Experience with system refresh, migrations, support pack upgrades, and patch updates using SUM.
• Familiarity with TMS configuration, CHARM processes, and EWA setup and execution.
• Operating system experience on AIX or Linux.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: 10-15 years in SAP Basis administration.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP Basis certification.
• Experience supporting 24x7 financial systems in large enterprise environments.
