Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior/Chief Estimator to lead the estimating department for a well-established commercial landscape construction firm operating in the Inland Empire region. The Estimator will oversee all pre-construction estimating activities, ensure accurate and competitive bids, and support strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and approve detailed cost estimates for commercial landscape construction projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and RFPs to determine scope and estimate requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee bid strategies, value engineering options, and risk assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Implement and improve estimating procedures, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with operations and project management teams to support seamless project handoff.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in landscape or construction estimating
- Strong understanding of commercial landscape construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Proficiency with estimating software and industry tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
