CNC Precision Grinding Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a CNC Precision Grinding Operator to support the production of high-tolerance steel components. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC grinding equipment to produce parts that meet strict dimensional and quality requirements. The ideal candidate takes pride in workmanship, has strong mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Duties

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines with precision to produce parts according to blueprints and technical drawings
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining processes
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance
• Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Adjust machine parameters as needed for optimal machining accuracy and surface finish
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times

Requirements

• Prior CNC grinding experience preferred
• Previous manufacturing or machining experience strongly helpful
• Strong math skills, including decimals and basic trigonometry
• High attention to detail and ability to focus on precision work
• Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machines and tooling
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a production environment
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
• Desire to excel, with pride in producing high-quality parts
