BBSI is partnering with a leading residential contractor to bring on a detail-driven Senior Estimator who thrives in a fast-moving environment and loves turning concepts into accurate, strategic numbers. About the RoleIn this role, you’ll be a key contributor from day one, analyzing project scopes, visiting job sites, collaborating with internal teams, and building estimates that help our client win and execute successful projects. You’ll balance technical analysis with relationship-building as you work alongside project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Periodic travel for site assessments is required to ensure accuracy and alignment. Key Responsibilities:· Break down project plans, specifications, and documents to determine all cost components.· Conduct jobsite visits to collect measurements and verify existing conditions.· Research and evaluate labor, materials, equipment, and production data.· Review subcontractor and vendor bids; secure competitive pricing through negotiation.· Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and risk assessments.· Support project managers during bidding, planning, and preconstruction phases.· Develop and maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships. Requirements/Qualifications:· 8 years of Estimating experience within a General Contractor/Restoration environment.· 5 years working on damage restoration· Ability to manage multiple bids (2–3) simultaneously without compromising detail.· Proficiency in Xactimate, MS Project and MS Office Suite.· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plan sets.· Willingness to travel to jobsites as needed; must have reliable transportation and a valid CA driver’s license. Preferred- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field.- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation.
