Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew responsible for lawn care, landscape maintenance on multiple projects.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers and other landscaping tools.
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to inform proper care techniques and troubleshoot horticultural issues effectively.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during outdoor work activities and operate company vehicles responsibly for project transportation.
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of grounds and landscape aesthetics.
Requirements
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with a strong understanding of horticulture principles.
- Supervising or team management experience in outdoor or construction environments.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently; experience with groundskeeping tools is essential.
- Construction experience related to projects is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crew members effectively and foster teamwork.
- Excellent plant identification skills along with knowledge of tree care practices.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; familiarity with outdoor work environments is required.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; prior experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred.
