We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our team in the Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or Lake Charles, LA area.
- Conduct startup and commissioning activities for new equipment installations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure equipment is configured and calibrated according to specifications.
- Perform functional tests and verify the proper operation of equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to various instrumentation and analytical systems.
- Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.
- Work closely with customers engineering departments and technical support teams to address complex issues.
- Investigate and resolve issues with gas chromatography, CEMS, moisture & water analyzers, etc.
- Provide technical expertise in recommending upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Interact with customers on-site to understand their specific requirements and address concerns.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the use and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including equipment installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Generate detailed service reports for internal and external use.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all service activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Technical degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation).
- Proven experience in equipment startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting, with a focus on instrumentation and process analyzers.
- Familiarity with various types of gas chromatographs & detection, water analyzers and instrumentation devices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
