Job Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to build and foster community relationships, while providing education, professional communications, and coordination of outreach programs on behalf of BBB, Evansville and The Tri-State.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE-
Community Outeach and Event Planning:
· Organize, plan and oversee community outreach events tailored to local businesses, consumers, or community partners.
· Collaborate with community organizations to increase participation and futher BBB educational efforts.
· Track attendance, collect feedback, and prepare post-event reports and evaluations, to help assess KPIs and overall event success.
BBB Social Media, Newsletter/Eblasts, Articles & Press Releases:
· Manage all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter), by creating and scheduling engaging content at least 4 days per week.
· Respond professionally to comments and messages while engaging with BBB Accredited Businesses online.
· Monitor analytics and KPIs in effort to provide recommendations/plans for improving engagement and audience growth.
· Prepare and manage content for the monthly Accredited Business newsletter.
· Create and distribute press releases, monthly articles, advertisements and other marketing materials to promote BBB Services, programs, and events, throughout the Bureau's service area.
Public-Facing Communications:
· Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with local media outlets and community partners.
· Maintain e-blast audience lists and promote BBB events on community calendars.
· Assist in producing scripts and coordinating PSA assets.
· Recommend creative communication opportunities such as YouTube Videos, podcasts, and other digital iniatives, and help developing plans for execution.
· Update BBB materials, brochures, and other organzational resources.
· Maintaining the organization's Google Grant and Google Ads account.
Additional Duties:
· Prepare advertisements for Accredited Businesses and graphics for the bureau as requested.
· Provide educational presentations to community groups and assist with BBB Consumer Protection Task Force.
· Monitor local media and news activity.
· Assist with system updates, data entry, answering phone and general office duties.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree prferred; however, relevant work experience or specialized training in related job duties will be considered.
· Excellent telephone etiquette, presentation skills, and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to communicate professionally and persuasively over the phone, in writing, and in person with businesses of all sizes and across various industries.
· Ability to handle sensitive information and documents with confidentiality.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet research.
· Experience with Adobe Cloud, Photoshop, or Canva is a plus.
· Social Media experience required.
