Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring, patient, and energetic Toddler Assistant to support the daily care, learning, and development of toddlers. The ideal candidate will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while assisting lead teachers or caregivers with daily routines and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising toddlers during play, meals, naps, and indoor/outdoor activities
- Support age-appropriate learning activities, arts and crafts, and sensory play
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom or care area
- Assist with diapering, toilet training, handwashing, and mealtime routine
- Encourage positive behavior, social skills, and emotional development
- Follow health, safety, and childcare regulations at all times
- Communicate respectfully with parents and team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with toddlers or young children is an advantage
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable personality
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of child development and safety practices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry children as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move actively throughout the day
