POSITION SUMMARY:
The Analyst, Resi Whole Loan position will support all capital markets activities for the department, which includes whole loan trading activity, hedging activity, and securitization activity for the non-agency business within Bayview. This position requires the individual to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage and prioritize tasks and requests, most tasks will be autonomous, so candidates must be self-starters and able to define their own processes and create and manage timelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting and tracking whole loan pipeline management and trading.
- Reporting and tracking hedging position management.
- Managing analytics supporting pricing activity and best-ex analysis.
- Managing pooling process for whole loan and securitization execution.
- Provide lock desk support for the non-agency pipeline.
- Perform loan level data management for various capital markets activities.
- Perform ad hoc reporting as needed on the non-agency team.
- Promote a culture of innovation by continuously challenging the staff to seek out process improvement initiatives, automation enhancements and idea generation to ensure the transactions are being run optimally.
- Exercise exemplary corporate citizenship including strict adherence to compliance requirements and Bayview’s tenets.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 0-3 years of experience
- Strong background in MS Office and data management
- Familiarity with QRM, Intex, or Rating Agency models is a plus
- Basic knowledge of mortgage and fixed income markets.
- Experience with cash flow modeling and basic understanding of credit and default risk / performance.
- The ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with teams and individuals at all levels of the company and with third parties.
- Eagerness to be in a dynamic environment and learn and expand responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently while focused on accuracy, efficiency, and delivery of products.
- Willingness to be part of a team that focuses on time-sensitive products with dynamic views and goals.
- This is an in-office role based in Bayview’s Denver office.
- Base compensation is expected to be $70,000 - $90,000 with the opportunity for bonus compensation.
