Responsibilities
Data Solution Development
- Design and develop data-driven solutions, including data integration processes, ETL workflows, and data transformation pipelines.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and data dictionaries to ensure accurate and efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Design and implement data integration processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a consistent format, and load it into target systems.
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows and scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Optimize data integration processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data integration jobs, identifying and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Design, develop, and maintain database structures and schemas to support data storage and retrieval needs.
- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load data.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques.
- Ensure data security and compliance by implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measures.
- Contribute to data governance initiatives by defining and enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Document data integration processes, ETL workflows, and database structures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
- Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business intelligence developers, and data scientists, to understand their data requirements and support their analytics needs.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management, ETL, and database technologies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of data services within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Developer III or a similar role, demonstrating strong expertise in data integration, ETL processes, and database development.
- In-depth knowledge of data management principles, data integration best practices, and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, JSON) and data integration patterns and methodologies. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality management practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and design optimal solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- This role will be based in Bayview’s Coral Gables or Fort Lauderdale Office.
- This role will be hybrid in office.
