W2 Contract
Salary Range: $79,000 - $87,400 per year
Location: Dublin, CA - Hybrid Role
Job Summary:
The Server Administrator for a Distribution Center will be responsible for the overall health and performance of the servers that underpin the center's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Performing routine maintenance, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Managing user accounts and access, implementing security measures, developing backup and disaster recovery plans, and maintaining documentation are also crucial.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A Server Administrator for a Distribution Center requires a mix of technical and soft skills.
- Essential skills include in-depth knowledge of server administration, networking fundamentals, storage management, database management, and cybersecurity. The ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and automate tasks through scripting is also important. Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills are necessary.
- Detailed understanding and ability to design structured cabling systems utilized in the DC, including CAT5, Cat 6/6E, Single and Multi-Mode fiber Optics, IDF/MDFs, switches, and cross connection methodologies.
- Comprehensive understanding and ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues on WCS platforms (examples: Dematic conveyance, Inteligrated / Crisplant Tilt Tray, GOH, PTL/PTV, Ticketing).
- Comprehensive understanding and ability to troubleshoot hardware/software on the following deployed components: RF devices, ticketing systems, label platforms, time keeping, backup environments, and voice systems.
