Assembly Line Worker
W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $23 - $26 per hour
Location: Foothill Ranch, CA - Onsite Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable Assembly Line Worker to join our production team. This role is responsible for assembling components and products according to specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate manual dexterity, the ability to follow work instructions, be organized, pay attention to detail, and have a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all assembly of all product processing from the preparation of raw materials to the manufacturing of finished goods.
- Perform repetitive assembly operations using hand tools, power tools, or automated equipment.
- Assembly of mechanical components, inspection, packaging, labeling, parts preparation, cleaning, and assembly.
- Follow work instructions, diagrams, and schematics to correctly assemble components.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards, identifying and reporting any defects or irregularities.
- Using hand tools, power tools, or machinery to assemble parts together.
- Operating and inspecting all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work.
- Organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with safety standards.
- Meet daily and weekly production goals and report any delays or issues to the supervisor.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the assembly process.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
- Support team members and collaborate to resolve production line issues.
- Participate in basic equipment maintenance or cleaning as needed.
- Adhere to applicable OSHA, GMP, and ISO rules and regulations.
- Adhere to our ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures if required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and operational needs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferably 3 years' experience in assembly and/or manufacturing.
- Demonstrates understanding of verbal and written instructions in English.
- Proficient in reading and writing, including work instructions, specifications, and forms.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is highly preferred.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation to get to and from the work environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift performing repetitive tasks.
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, and fingers (e.g., grasping, screwing, wiring).
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25-30 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 40-50 lbs. with assistance.
- Capable of safely operating a 2-4 ton lift in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small, delicate parts.
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Clear near vision for reading work instructions and inspecting small parts.
- Full range of motion throughout the workstation and production area.
- Ability to push/pull carts or bins as needed. Comfortable wearing PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoe protectors, ear protection, ESD gear).
- Able to work independently or in a group setting.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing floor with production targets.
- Moderate to loud noise levels from machinery.
- Primarily a climate-controlled facility; it may vary by area.
- Some areas may require adherence to ESD protocols.
