Floral Design Associate

Position Overview

Bayside Garden Center & Floral Design is seeking a talented and motivated Floral Design Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

As a Floral Associate, you will play a key role in designing arrangements, assisting customers, processing orders, and maintaining an organized and visually appealing floral shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create floral arrangements for everyday occasions, events, and holidays
• Assist customers with floral selections, purchases, and inquiries (in-store and phone)
• Process and manage orders through floral wire services (FTD, Teleflora, etc.)
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all order paperwork and transactions
• Receive, process, and organize fresh flower deliveries
• Maintain floral cooler, displays, and sales floor presentation
• Merchandise products to create clean, attractive, and sales-driven displays
• Support daily shop operations including cleaning, stocking, and upkeep
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of floral design or floral shop experience preferred
• Experience with floral wire services (FTD, Teleflora, BloomNet, etc.)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and order-entry platforms
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
• Self-motivated and dependable

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Schedule Requirements

• Availability for day shifts, Saturdays, and peak holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.)
• Flexible scheduling required during busy floral seasons

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (delivery support as needed)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to follow direction and work independently

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
