Bayshore Properties is looking for a skilled and reliable Property Maintenance Technician to join our team at WoodSpring Apartments, a 409-unit apartment community located in Florence, Kentucky. This role will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties, general property upkeep, and responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
- Perform general mechanic repairs and replacements
- Handles designated work orders and service requests in a timely manner
- Assist the maintenance team in keeping the shop clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Knows when to escalate maintenance issues to management
- Maintains courteous and professional demeanor with residents, prospective residents, coworkers, and vendors.
- Perform general labor duties and assist with various tasks as needed to support property operations.
- Able to answer on-call maintenance requests 24 hours per day on a rotational basis.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience, apartment maintenance experience preferred
- Certified Pool Operator, a plus
- Display proficiency while performing day-to-day tasks, preventative maintenance, and work orders.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Must be team-oriented, dependable, resourceful, flexible and results-driven.
- Must be well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by using a cell phone and computer.
- Must be available to work on-call, overtime, weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Maintenance Technician Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lifts and carries up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 80 pounds.
- Pushes and/or pulls (appliances) using appliance dolly up to 200 pounds
- Moves objects from one floor to another
- Frequently bends/stoops, climbs stairs, kneels, balances, reaches above shoulder height, walks and twists
- Has normal range of vision, hearing and speech
