We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, utilizing specialized techniques to promote safety and engagement.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that address each resident’s unique needs.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely while assisting with transfers or repositioning residents as required.
Experience
- Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience providing dementia or Alzheimer’s care within memory care units or similar environments.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while assisting residents with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality is essential.
- Previous roles involving social work or hospice care will be considered advantageous.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in hospice or long-term care is a plus.
