Job Title: Software Engineer (L4)

Location: Hybrid at Los Gatos, CA

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer (L4) to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise solutions for global Finance and Tax teams. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and close collaboration with cross-functional business and engineering stakeholders.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality applications and integrations that support critical financial operations and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications and services.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Tax stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across finance, engineering, and product teams to solve complex business challenges.
• Develop robust APIs, integrations, and distributed systems to support internal platforms and applications.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and implementation planning.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery by following SDLC best practices, testing standards, and QA processes.
• Provide post-production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements for deployed solutions.
• Contribute to UI development for internal and external portals using modern front-end technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience developing enterprise-level applications and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java (Spring Boot)
• Python
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including:
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• Experience designing and implementing APIs using:
• RESTful services
• gRPC
• GraphQL
• SOAP
• Solid understanding of:
• Distributed data processing
• Software engineering design principles
• Data modeling concepts
• Front-end development experience, preferably with React.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining detail-oriented and adaptable.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and consistently exceed expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior or current techno-functional experience with ERP platforms such as:
• Oracle
• Workday
• Recent experience with Workday Studio is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting Finance or Tax-related business applications is a plus.
