SAP Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Functional Lead to join a specialized technical team dedicated to accelerating automation within our Global Financial Systems. In this role, you will leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI to transform how our finance operations function within our SAP landscape. You will be responsible for the end-to-end functional design, configuration, and delivery of automated solutions for critical financial processes, primarily focusing on Record-to-Report (Accruals, Reconciliations, Month End Close) and related transactional workflows (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets).

Acting as the primary bridge between Finance business stakeholders and the development team, you will ensure these cutting-edge technologies are seamlessly incorporated into our SAP and AWS environments to drive efficiency and adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Functional Design: Lead the functional requirements and business logic design for Generative and Agentic AI solutions. You will act as the primary translator between Finance stakeholders and technical engineering teams to ensure AI agents correctly interpret complex SAP accounting rules.
• AI Governance & Validation: Design rigorous testing frameworks and validation logic to ensure AI-generated entries (e.g., accruals, journal entries) are 100% accurate and compliant with internal controls (SOX) before posting to SAP.
• SAP Integration: Serve as the functional expert on SAP Financials, ensuring that AI agents and automation tools integrate flawlessly with existing SAP data structures and transaction flows.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze pain points in current workflows, and translate them into technical specifications for the development team.
• Cloud-Native Solutions: Collaborate with technical teams to leverage AWS capabilities for hosting and scaling AI solutions that interact with financial data.
• Process Optimization: Re-engineer existing financial processes to ensure they are "AI-ready," ensuring seamless integration of new tools without disrupting daily operations.
• Adoption & Change Management: Drive user adoption by creating clear documentation, conducting training sessions, and serving as the functional expert for new AI tools within the Finance organization.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7 years of experience in Financial Systems, Finance Transformation, or a related functional role.
• ERP Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of SAP (specifically FICO/Finance modules), with a proven track record of optimizing SAP-based workflows.
• Agile Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where requirements evolve rapidly. Comfortable moving from "Concept to Prototype" quickly, rather than waiting for perfect documentation.
• AI & Automation: Demonstrated interest or experience in implementing automation tools, RPA, or Generative AI solutions within a corporate environment.
• Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of core financial processes (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay).
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python, SQL, and ABAP.
• Previous experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or tech industries.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Agile methodologies.
• Specific experience integrating external AI/ML tools with SAP S/4HANA.
